Second O’Keefe lecture scheduled
William Rhoads (Art History, Emeritus) will deliver the second annual Dennis O’Keefe Memorial Lecture at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Lecture Center 108.
In “The Changing Image of Education at New Paltz, 1828-2008,” Rhoads will show pictures in the college archives and postcards collected by O’Keefe to survey how the appearance of the buildings and landscape dedicated to education at New Paltz has changed since its 19th-century origins.
Dennis O’Keefe (Library) graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1973. He died on August 28, 2006, at the age of 55.
