PUBLICATIONS

David Appelbaum (Philosophy) published a new book, “Jacques Derrida’s Ghost: A Conjuration” (SUNY Press, 2009). It addresses three key themes of the late philosopher’s work: the other, death and mourning. In its manner of writing about these themes, the book responds to Derrida’s own reflections on how philosophy is written. On Dec. 4, Appelbaum gave a brief talk about the book on campus.

Brian Obach (Sociology) published a book chapter, titled “Labor and the Environment,” in 20 Lessons in Environmental Sociology (Oxford 2009).
