Don’t miss the acclaimed culinary and serving talents of Interim President Donald Christian and his cohort of Vice Presidents at the annual All Campus Appreciation Barbecue.
The menu will include hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips, salads, cookies and punch. The barbecue will be held Tuesday, May 24, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Old Main Quad.
A volleyball net will be set up, as well as a rope for tug-of-war and potato sacks for those who’d like to challenge their colleagues to a race. Mike Alevras, a popular New Paltz DJ, will provide the music.
Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, volleyballs and Frisbees. During the barbecue, Interim President Christian will present the Classified Staff awards.
Also, the College will hold the Amazing New Paltz Parking Auction during which it will auction-off five parking spaces for CSEA, Academic Faculty, Professional Faculty, Management Confidential and All Campus. There will be additional exciting gifts donated by local companies available for auction. All money raised will be donated to the Fund for New Paltz.
In the event of rain, the barbeque will move to the Elting Gym. Arrangements have been made for everyone to enjoy a prolonged, leisurely lunch. Lunch hours will be extended to one hour for employees planning to attend the festivities. In order to provide department coverage during this time, supervisors may need to plan for staggered lunch periods to cover operations to allow all employees to attend.
