New Paltz is one of the nation’s “Best Value” colleges and universities, according to the Princeton Review, which ranked New Paltz among the top 75 public 4-year institutions of higher education in the United States.

The Princeton Review selected its “Best Value” schools based on institutional data and student opinion surveys collected from 650 colleges and universities that the company regards as the nation’s academically best undergraduate institutions. The selection process analyzed more than 30 data points broadly covering academics, cost, and financial aid. Overall, the 2012 Best Value Colleges list features 150 public and private schools in 37 states and the District of Columbia.

A profile of SUNY New Paltz appears in the book The Best Value Colleges: 2012 Edition: The 150 Best Buy Colleges and What It Takes to Get In (Random House / Princeton Review), published in February 2012, and on the company’s website at http://www.princetonreview.com/best-value-colleges.aspx.
