Fireplace Lounge Chats: Civility and Democracy. Wednesdays, April 25 and May 2, at 7 p.m. A group of regional political scientists, educators, and historians will join local politicians in this series of expert-led discussions on civility and democracy in America. Educational Opportunity Program presents 10th Annual Chi Alpha Epsilon Induction Ceremony. Friday, April 27, 3 p.m. Lecture Center 100. Public recognition of the academic achievements of 44 EOP undergraduates followed by pinning ceremony and reception. Director of Advising for the School of Business and former EOP Advisor Rendesia Scott will deliver the keynote address.

Environmental Awareness and Sustainability Day. Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Talks, activities, games, a panel on green living. Several student organizations will be participating, as well as the Cary Institute, NYSDEC and university professors. Event is open to the public and free of charge. Located in LC 100, the Old Main, and the quad.
