Turkish cuisine, live traditional Turkish music, a photo exhibition, and baklava and other sweet treats were some of the highlights of the recent Turkish Night, held in the MPR on May 3. Some 150 Turkish students are currently enrolled at New Paltz, many of whom participated in this celebration of their country and its culture. The event was hosted by Assemblyman Kevin Cahill ’77, who is the founder of The Friends of Turkish People Legislators Association, and the Turkish Cultural Center.
