PianoSummer at New Paltz 2012. Through August 3.

PianoSummer is an international summer institute and festival dedicated solely to piano music. It features an integrated approach to learning and performance under the artistic direction of master pianist and teacher Vladimir Feltsman (Music). For a full schedule of events, click here.

 

8th Annual Work Study Job Fair. Wednesday, August 29, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

During this event, students who have been awarded Work Study for the upcoming year will meet with various departments that are looking to interview and hire Work Study students. Also, paperwork will be submitted to the Work Study Coordinator, in order to reduce the time it takes for Work Study students to get on the payroll. All Work Study departments that have been granted a Work Study allocation for the 2012-2013 academic year are invited to participate. In the Multi-Purpose Room. New York Conference on Asian Studies 2012. September 28 – 29.

Asia specialists in a wide range of fields will converge on campus from across New York State and throughout the United States, Canada, and overseas. Along with panels featuring new interdisciplinary and comparative scholarship on Asia, many related events are scheduled for the conference, including a special exhibition at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, a cultural performance in McKenna Theatre, a book exhibit featuring new publications on Asia, and a featured author as plenary speaker.
