The Department of Black Studies and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program is calling for student papers, posters, and multimedia projects for its spring conference, First World Diaspora Undergraduate Conference: “Social Movements and Activism throughout Diasporas of Color.” Submissions related to social movements and activism throughout diasporas of color will be accepted until Thursday, Feb. 28.
In an announcement to campus, Professor Sarah Wyman stated, “Now is the time to identify and encourage students from all disciplines who have scholarly and creative interests relevant to the concerns of our conference. This forum provides an excellent opportunity to promote student research and interdisciplinary conversation.”
The conference will be held on campus on April 6. For more information, contact Ligia Aldana.
