The Office of the Provost is accepting nominations for the Provost Awards for Faculty Excellence, the first of a new annual award program that will recognize members of the New Paltz faculty. The purpose of the awards is to recognize the outstanding achievements of our faculty in fulfilling our educational mission. The deadline for nominations is January 25, 2013.

Four awards will be granted: Provost Award for Teaching Excellence; Provost Award for Excellence in Scholarly/Creative Activity; Provost Award for Excellence in Professional Service; and the Outstanding Pre-Tenure Faculty Award. Each recipient will receive $500 and a plaque recognizing their accomplishments. The awards will be presented at the last faculty meeting of the academic year, followed by a reception to recognize the winners. During the following fall semester, recipients will be asked to make a presentation to the College community on the activities that led to their award. Recipients will also be asked to serve on the Provost Awards Committee for the following year.
