Tax time is upon us, and the School of Business is here to help! Certified student volunteers, who have received training from the IRS, will be available to help individuals with a gross income below $50,000 prepare their basic tax returns. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, students are also providing free electronic filing (e-filing). These services are being offered as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Walk-in hours will be held in van den Berg Hall, Room 206, through April 15 on the following days: Monday: 2 – 8 p.m.; Tuesday: 2 – 8 p.m.; Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Thursday: 12 – 6 p.m.; and Friday: 6 – 8 p.m. Tax help will not be available when school is not in session March 25 – March 29.

Remember to bring identification, your Social Security Card; informational statements such as W-2s and 1099s, and last year’s tax return (if available). Also have your bank routing and account numbers handy if you’d like to receive direct deposit of your refund.
