Ann O’Brien ’16 (Visual Arts) has been accepted into the Oxfam America CHANGE Initiative. Each year, Oxfam America, a global organization working against poverty, hunger, and injustice, brings together students throughout the U.S. for this one-year leadership and advocacy training program. The application process for the CHANGE Initiative is very competitive, with only 50 students accepted each year. The experience is designed to develop student skills, expand their knowledge of global issues, and provide resources that students can bring back to their campuses to continue their work. This year’s themes include global food security, agriculture, and social justice.
