August 12, 2013

3d2A new certificate program in digital design and fabrication will launch this fall, as announced by President Christian at the 3D printing conference that was held on campus in May.

The first two courses to be offered are:  Programming for Media (Tuesdays, 4:30-7:10 p.m.); and Crafting in Virtual Space (Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.-1:50 p.m.).  To earn a certificate, the courses can be taken either not-for-credit through the Extended Learning office or for-credit as a non-matriculated student. Faculty and staff interested in the program may contact Dan Freedman,
dean of science and engineering, or Paul Kassel, interim dean of fine and performing arts. Space is limited.

A registration form is available here (fill in the course titles under “Desired Program” and return form to Dan Freedman). More information about the program is available at
