Gerald Benjamin, director of CRREO, has announced three recent grants. Benjamin has received a $22,261 grant from the New Roosevelt Foundation for his project titled, “Preparing NYS for a Constitutional Convention: Opinion Pieces for Blog”; a $21,319 grant from the New Roosevelt Foundation for his project titled, “Preparing NYS for a Constitutional Convention: Regional Panels”; and a $18,886 grant from the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley for his project titled, “Kingston Homestead Tax Study.”

Professor Joseph Paparone (Theatre Arts) has been awarded Emeritus status. Paparone began teaching at New Paltz in 1970 and has taught in many areas of the program. He has served the program as technical director, scene designer, lighting designer, director, actor, business manager, and producer, and has also served four terms as chair of the department.  He has directed more than 15 productions and produced more than 40 productions for the department. Paparone will be honored by alumni and current students at a tribute during Reunion Weekend 2013.
