The University Police Department (UPD) has released a new active shooter prevention video titled “Crisis on Campus, Shots Fired.”  This seven-minute video addresses what to do―and how to do it―in the event of an armed intruder on campus.

“Spending seven minutes watching this video could truly save a life,” said David Dugatkin,
UPD chief of police. “I urge every student, faculty, and staff member, please, take the time to watch it.”

The video was written, directed, filmed, procured, and edited entirely by New Paltz students Matthew Brunner, Jeffrey Lavin, Bobby Morris, and Donald Pingaro, under the instruction of Professor Dan Hunt (Communication & Media). Click here to watch it now.
