A digital marketing seminar for small businesses, which focused on making the most of a small-business digital marketing budget, was held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 on the New Paltz campus. Topics of discussion included branding, search engine optimization, and social media.

“The seminar is a good example of quality programs resulting from student organizations working together with the business community and supporting the vision of the School of Business to be the Business Hub of the Hudson Valley,” said Ted Clark, advisor to the New Paltz AMA and lecturer at New Paltz.

The event included a panel of three experts: Raleigh Green, president and CEO of Raleigh Green Inc.; Jason White, senior SEO strategist at DragonSearch; and Aaron Mandelbaum, CEO and founder of IceBreaker Consulting. It was attended by approximately 90 New Paltz students, faculty, and staff, as well as local business and community members.

The seminar was organized by the New Paltz American Marketing Association (AMA), Enactus, and the Mid-Hudson Valley Digital Marketers (MHVDM). The digital marketing workshop was the second event hosted by MHVDM. The group hopes to continue holding similar seminars at the college in the future.

An audience of approximately 90 New Paltz students, faculty, and staff, as well as local business and community members, attended a digital marketing seminar for small businesses on Dec. 2.
