The academic achievements of 47 Economic Opportunity Program (EOP) undergraduates and a further 28 students, who earned an upgrade distinction for continued pursuit of academic excellence, were publicly acknowledged in front of peers, faculty, EOP staff and family at the EOP’s ninth Annual Chi Alpha Epsilon Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 29. The Student Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) received a silver trophy for its achievement in marketing at the 33rd Annual AMA’s International Collegiate Conference held in New Orleans from March 24-26. “I am so proud of this group because it is an entirely new Board who established a very ambitious agenda for entering all these competitions and then did extraordinarily well,” said Professor Ted Clark (Business), the chapter’s adviser. The State University of New York at New Paltz hosted the annual SUNY Model European Union April 14-16. This is a transatlantic collegiate simulation that brings together more than 150 students and faculty from across the SUNY system and its European partner campuses.
