Campus procures early American history publications

Louis Roper (History) will serve as general co-editor to the newly created “Early American History Series: The American Colonies, 1500-1830″ book series and the corresponding “Journal of Early American History: The American Colonies, 1500-1830.”

The college will be home to the book series and journal, which are published by Brill Academic Publishers in The Netherlands. Roper said both peer-reviewed publications will serve to advance scholarly understanding of the history of the colonization of the Americas.

The journal editors are accepting submissions of 25-45 page manuscripts on topics related to any aspect of early American history and in-depth review articles covering four to six books published in the last five years. For more information, contact Roper at x3542 or roperl@newpaltz.edu.
